How you doing?
I don't know about the weather at your neck of the wood but it sure ain't Spring where I am. It's been snowing constantly since last Friday. And when it ain't snowing, it's freezing cold and windy. There're days when you get outta bed, your mood will just drop to zero degrees. The appetite and motivation to do something just ain't there. This is how I've been feeling lately and I know most of you can relate to this. It probably has to do with me slipping and twisting my ankle Friday (Thank God its much better now). I just need to get over the fear of driving and start learning cos that will partly solve my problems.
Alright, lets talk Prayer. First of all lemme ask, "Do you believe in prayers and what it can do?" The bible states in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 that we should pray without ceasing. Philippians 4:6 also says that, we shouldn't be anxious for anything but in everything by prayer and supplication and thanksgiving, we should let our request be made known to God.
All my life I've been going to church (considered myself a Christian) but I got baptized and received Christ as my personal Saviour when I gave birth to my son three years ago. I did pray but always had this feeling/doubt at the back of my mind that God wasn't even listening. I mean who am I for God to even listen to me..forgetting that He actually created me. And it says in the bible that we're His masterpiece. Fast-forwarding to the couple of months, prayers has become a big deal in my life. Even if its for 2mins, I say something to God and indeed it does tremendous things. Sometimes you'll see the physical benefits and sometimes no (nevertheless the feeling of joy and fulfillment swings in your heart) , but that doesn't mean God ain't heard you. He's waiting for the right time to answer your prayers, so that His glory will be shown. That's when our patience is also tested. In order not to waste your time, I just want to encourage you out there that, Prayer is the key to your worries! I want to challenge you today. You might not believe in God, but still pray for God is not a respecter of persons. No one knows how He (God) does His work but one thing is for sure. His handwork is amazing and wonderful.
