OOTD: SHADES OF YELLOW AND COLOUR...

How y'all doing beauties?
I've missed y'all very much. I took a week off to put some things in order my life. I love blogging but, as a working single mother, life can be hectic and overwhelming which kinda sucks. Amidst all the ups and downs though, I thank God for the gift of life.
This post has been long overdue. I mean summer overdue, because I wore this outfit to a summer wedding. Can we blame it on life again? Ha! Anyways as its better late than never, here we are.
Wanting to tone down on the vavavom'ness (lol!) of this skater dress, I opted for a blazer which worked very well. The clutch added a bit of character to the whole ensemble.
The photos don't really do justice to this outfit the way I wish. Click on a photo to zoom it, hopefully its a bit okay.
Normally I share ootds on my blog before any of my social media platforms but, unfortunately these went live on Instagram before here. Is it still okay? I don't want to break any blogging codes. Lol!
Having said that, if we don't follow each other on INSTAGRAM, do hit the follow button. I always follow back especially if you're a blogger, because I know we're on the same mission. If I find your page inspiring, relate to your posts or you post decent things, I'll follow. Its about time we support one another and stop worrying too much about the numbers.
Another outfit I wore is this red/black ruchen dress from Asda. I've had this dress for over two years but, ehhh...when you hoard things that's what happens.
Off to catch up on the posts I missed, so please bare with me.
Have a blessed week ahead.
Which is your favourite outfit?

CELEB WORLD: MO'NIQUE FOR SHEEN MAGAZINE...

To celebrate their 10-years anniversary, the magazine has chosen none other than Oscar winning actress, Mo'Nique, to grace the cover of their November/December issue.
From the sleek hairstyle to the natural makeup to the sequinned slit dress, Mo'Nique looks fabulous. - And the curves are still intact! Love this!
Its good to see her back all happy and healthy. She is such a talented lady.
Credit and read more at Sheen Magazine.

What this tells me is that, sometimes you need to take a break to work on yourself. Life can be overwhelming and in order not to breakdown, that is needed.
What do you think?
How's your week going?

OOTD: SIMPLICITY IN BLACK AND WHITE WITH A POP...

The days have been running like Usain Bolt (lol...joke of the day!) but, I wish weekends could slow down a bit. I feel like it just goes by in a blink of an eye. Do you feel the same or am I exaggerating? Ha!
Starting this week in a minimalistic black and white outfit with a pop of ankara and burgundy. This face has been m.i.a on the blog for a while but, gradually getting it together, so thanks for all your comments.
Last but, not the least, can we remember Haiti in prayers, please. Reportedly hundreds of people have been killed and 30.000 homes have been destroyed by hurricane Matthew. If you know of the right charity to donate, please do comment because it has been announced that not all these charities use the money people donate for the right purposes.
Thank you!

Have a blessed week, beauties!

NEWCHIC AUTUMN WISHLIST...

Happy new new week and month, Beauties!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend filled with love. Mine has been alright, except some flu which won't let me be. This is why I'm not an autumn/winter person. Ha! Aside that everything is well by the grace of God.
Its that time of the season again where you play the swapping game in your closet. You get rid of some old pieces and replace with newbies or just add to them. After a great impression with their clothes, I had to check back in to see what Newchic has got in store this season. Showing are some ensemble that tickled my fancy.
The love for the printed dresses above is indescribable. Any kind of print is eye-catching and bound to make a bold statement at anywhere you go. While prints are great for every season, I believe autumn and winter are the perfect season to wear them. With the gloomy weather, the one thing aside tea/cuddles you need is beautiful bold fashion statement pieces.
Sweatshirts and knee high boots are perfect autumn/winter staple. Is there anything classier than black and white pattern? Please do let me know.

What have you purchased recently or any wishlist?
Wishing you a blessed week. May October be a month full of God's favours and blessing for us.
